Asset Allocation

It is often difficult for a client to articulate their preference for risk.

How well a client understands his or her ability to handle the inevitable ups and downs of the stock market often translates into expectations from their investments.

It’s our job to ask the questions that establish a client’s comfort zone.  It’s finding the right mix of high-, medium- and low-risk investments that meet the client’s financial goals in ways that don’t cause either undue anxiety or frustration.

It’s also our job to help our clients understand shifting trends, new industries being born (and old ones dying) and the immediate and long-term impacts of both.

And it’s our job to know when and how to recommend adjustments to that portfolio as both personal and market circumstances demand.

Helping our clients think clearly about their investments often starts with helping them think clearly about what kind of investor they are, or want to be.
