Fairport Asset Management Named to Registered Rep.’s Top 100 registered investment advisor list 
Wealth management firm only Northeast Ohio firm to make the list, and one of two in Ohio

CLEVELAND - April 9, 2008 - Fairport Asset Management announced today that it has been recognized by Registered Rep. magazine as one of the Top 100 registered investment advisors in the United States. Fairport is the only firm in the Greater Cleveland area to receive this recognition and one of only two firms in Ohio to make the list. The list appeared in the March 2008 issue of the magazine.

This national ranking is based on overall firm assets under management, as defined by the Security and Exchange Commission as of December 31, 2007, according to Registered Rep. magazine. Remaining criteria included greater than 50 percent of the firm’s business must serve the retail market place (individuals), and the firm must provide financial planning, portfolio management or due diligence on external advisors. Also, if firms were registered broker/dealers and a dominant portion of their business was in proprietary products, they were excluded.

The survey was conducted for Registered Rep. by RIA Database, a Charlotte, N.C.-based company that focuses on providing accurate, relevant data for sales professionals on registered investment advisors.
